Because my quest to receive a postcard from every country in the world continues, I was ever so happy to open my mailbox on Saturday to find not one, but two postcards from afar. To give a glimpse into the postal box of an aspiring deltiologist, I offer India and Papua New Guinea:

Papua New Guinea, Bird of Paradise. My aunt, who posted this, remarks, "Sadly, many of these beautiful birds are hunted for their feathers."
Twenty-ten was also a good year for postcards. Among the various countries now represented in my collection, Hong Kong, Italy, and Jordan are among my favorites:

View of Siena. "The Duomo bells are chiming the noon hour," remarks Miss. LolaK, "and the tourists are tripping over me."

Petra in Jordan, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the film-site for 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade'
Thus, I can check a few countries off my list, and I hope that friends, students, family, and colleagues will continue to be so kind. As for North Korea, I wonder if I would be red-flagged if I requested a postcard from this guy.

Sorry, but my friends in Afghanistan said it was too risky to send a postcard.
Thank you for asking!
